East Bladen junior defenseman Davion Lewis has been selected to the N.C. Soccer Coaches Association 1A all-state soccer team.
Lewis was one of two players from the Waccamaw 1A/2A Conference named to the 1A team that was announced earlier this week by the NCSCA. Pender midfielder Aidan Murray also was chosen.
Lewis was second among the Eagles with 463 steals. He scored two goals and had 20 assists in 19 games. His defensive play helped East Bladen allow only 37 goals in 20 games.
East Bladen finished with an 11-7-2 record and advanced to the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1A playoffs.
Southeastern Athletic Conference member Clinton, which won the 2A state championship, placed three players on the 2A all-state squad in defenseman Oskar Adasiak, midfielder Holden Spell and forward Griffin Williams.
