Elf Angels Fund received a $5,000 donation from Bladen We Care on Monday. The money will be used to help people and family in need in Bladen County.

Bladen We Care has donated funds to various charitable organizations through a $90,000 American Rescue Plan Act grant that Bladen County received. Commissioners designed Bladen We Care to determine how the money would be distributed.

Bladen We Care has helped charitable organizations and people in need throughout Bladen County for more than 30 years.

The Elf Angels program began more than 20 years ago with a challenge to some folks to help families in need during the holidays. As it grew, it became a needy children’s fund and was set up as a non-profit organization.

Today, the program helps children and seniors during Christmas and also helps people in need and those with health issues during the year. The program works with Bladen County Social Services and Families First.
