The Elizabethtown Dixie Youth Baseball AAA Minor League All-Star baseball team raised more than $1,800 and washed more than 60 cars Saturday during a fundraising car wash held in the parking lot of NAPA Auto Parts.

The money will be used to help with expenses while the team is playing in the state tournament, according to head coach Kyle Bostic. The tournament is scheduled to begin Friday, July 5 in Dunn. The tournament winner will advance to the World Series.
Elizabethtown won the District 9 tournament with an 8-4 win against West Robeson American on June 25 at Leinwand Park.
Memebers of the Elizabethtown AAA Minor All-Stars team are: Braylon Cromartie, Collin Cole, Easton Bostic, Tyler Eason, Fox Sutton, Hunter Wood, Brady Marlowe, Jayce Hatcher, CJ McCracken, Joshua Dawson, Jaxon Hair and Claxton Tatum. The coaches are Dale Wood, Joseph Hatcher and Bostic.
