Last week, several business owners from the town of Elizabethtown showed up to a meeting with the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Terri Dennison described a “decent turnout” with ten businesses represented at the meeting.

According to Dennison, at the meeting, there was a discussion of downtown happenings, plans, and ideas for nearly two hours. They discussed topics such as how to cross-promote each other, more activities and events in downtown Elizabethtown, and how to bring more people into the downtown area.

Attendees and Chamber members decided that the “Warm Southern Christmas” event will happen again this year between Thanksgiving and Christmas. More details will be announced at a later date.

Dennison shared that the business owners and Chamber of Commerce will meet again in two months. The date and time are to be determined. Be on the lookout for this information if you are a business owner wishing to attend.
