COC-Christmas-Parade-2015  Santa is coming to Elizabethtown Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. He will be the grand marshal for the Elizabethtown Christmas Parade and will be arriving by horse drawn carriage, said Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dawn Maynard.

“Right now we are expecting 50 units,” said Maynard.

The parade line up will begin at 1 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Municipal Building. Maynard said that large units are asked to arrive early and walking group groups are asked to arrive no later than 2 p.m.

Maynard said that all units are asked to enter the parade line up from King Street and the parade will begin promptly at 3 p.m.

The parade route will follow Broad Street and turn onto Poplar Street and end at Bo’s Grocery Store.

Maynard said some of the downtown merchants will be open during the parade and following the parade to give shoppers a chance to find that perfect gift for everyone on their Christmas list.
