Elizabethtown Town Council meets Monday at 12 noon for a workshop and 7 p.m. for regular monthly meeting.
Among the items on noon agenda is an opportunity for feedback from the recent budget retreat.
The regular evening meeting will begin with a presentation of the colors by the Paul R. Brown Leadership Academy Cadets and the Pledge of Allegiance.
A Public Hearing is scheduled related to the demolition of an existing Minuteman convenience store located at 404 South Popular Street and construction of a new convenience store and restaurant.   The Board is expected to vote of the project later in the meeting.
Related to the convenience store and restaurant issue, Council will consider the approval of a Special Use Permit Application.
Other issues expected to be addressed:
Hear from Wendy and Bill Austin on an issue related to drainage, street and tree issues.
A request to declare certain items as surplus and authorize sale through GovDeals.
Consider approval of a contract with Sage Design for Professional Design Services at Leinwand Park.
Consider approval of a Facade Grant Application with Yia Yia’s.
Consider approval of an Airport Safety/Maintenance Agreement with NCDOT.
Consider awarding a contract for downtown sewer collection rehab project with Alternates.
Council will recieve a Monthly Financial report and other information.
The meeting begins at 7 p.m. at Elizabethtown City Hall and is open to the public.
