The Elizabethtown Fire Department’s new apparatus is on the way to nearing completion. The members of the fire department have been eagerly following its progress from start to finish. The latest set of pictures of the truck show  it nearing completion.

According to Chief Nick West, the truck will have rescue capabilities as well as “scene lighting.” The truck will also have a  450 horsepower engine, carry 1,000 gallons of water and pump 1,500 gallons per minute. The color scheme for the truck will be unique in that it will feature a metal gray over red.

The truck is under construction in Nesquehoning, Pa.
