The Elizabethtown Kiwanis Club learned that Saturday, October 28th, has been designated as Kiwanis One Day at the Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Home.
The club also discussed delivering Kiwanis pencils to Bladen County’s schools and began making plans for their Christmas social with the students housed in the Kiwanis cabin at the Lake Waccamaw Boys and Girls Home.
The club also discussed their Rada Cutlery fundraiser and and their Christmas fruit cake sale.
The Kiwanis Club also welcomed its newest members, the Rev. Donald Overton and his wife, Deborah. The couple has resided in Bladen County for ten years and they operate a ministry called God’s Foreign College Foundation which assists students in the Caribbean to achieve their dream of attending college.
