elizabethtownpolicedepartmentlogoA fourth Elizabethtown man was arrested Monday on several drug related charges that capped an investigation that began with a traffic stop in late June.

Channing Kelly of West Gill Street was the fourth person charged after officers stopped a vehicle June 26 when Ptl. Capshaw noticed a passenger had outstanding warrants, says Interim Police Chief Kip Hester. Saquon Reginald Covington was wanted for possession of stolen firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.

During the stop, officers noticed marijuana inside the vehicle, Hester said. A search of the vehicle found 108 grams of marijuana, 236 grams of MDMA, 4.3 grams of cocaine, 45 dosage units of Xanax, a 9mm handgun, and several items of drug paraphernalia, Hester said.

Charged were:

** Covington, who was arrested June 30 and jailed under a $300,000 bond.

** Antonio Lamel Murchison, the driver, who was arrested July 3 and jailed under a $30,000 bond.

** Trent Martin, who was arrested July 18 and jailed under a $50,500 bond.

** Kelly, who was arrested Monday and jailed under a $11,000 bond.

Charges include trafficking MDA/MDMA, manufacturing MDMA, possession with intent to sell or distribute MDMA, conspiring to traffic MDMA, felony possession of cocaine, possession with intent to sell or distribute cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, conspiring to sell cocaine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute Schedule IV controlled substance, possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana, manufacturing marijuana, felony possession of marijuana, conspiring to sell or deliver marijuana, carrying concealed weapon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
