Marianne Valentiner with the Healthy Kids Collaborative spoke to the Elizabethtown Rotary Club recently about keeping animals and children out of hot cars and other items to help keep children safe. She was joined by Berkleigh Pridgen.
They gave a very informative talk about about the dangers posed by leaving your pets and children in the car during the summer, even “for a few minutes.” Did you know temperatures inside a car can reach as high as 120 degrees on a 78 degree day?
Also, Elizabethtown Rotary Club’s Fundraising Chair Eddie Madden presented a check to USO of North Carolina representative Renee Lang from the 8K Trail Run/Walk. The club thanks all of the sponsors and participants for helping to make the event a huge success.
