Elizabethtown Town Council Conducts Special Called Meeting

A Special Called Meeting (Virtual) for the Town of Elizabethtown Town Council, was held on June 29, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.  The purpose of the meeting was consideration of the FY 2020-2021 Final Budget Amendment and the Second Amendment to Site License Agreement between the Town and SunCom Wireless Property Company, LLC.

Council approved the Budget Amendment along with two amended accompanying capital projects. A total of $205,266.73 in expenditures included local matches for the airport land acquisition project ($28,526.54), Airport/Industrial Park Access Road Project ($22,417.79), and Greene’s Lake Park Project ($147,322.40). Also included was $7,000 for lights, painting, etc. for new police vehicle and $36,000 for the Aclara water meter program upgrade.

Town Manager Dane Rideout presented a Second Amendment to the Site License Agreement with T-Mobile.  At the Town’s Swanzy Street Water Tank for T-Mobile cell service, a generator needs to be installed and a cabinet repositioned.  The generator will be operated with a 500-gallon propane steel tank.  This amendment also provides an increase of $300.00 per month payment from T-Mobile to the Town. Council approved the amendment as presented.

The July Town Council meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 12th at 7:00 p.m.
