Kayla Johnson Arrested In Bladen County
An Elizabethtown woman was arrested Wednesday on charges involving passing several stolen checks and the use of a stolen ATM card.

Elizabethtown Police Chief Bobby Kinlaw said Kayla Gail Johnson, 31, of Ben Greene Industrial Park Road, was charged with felony obtaining property by false pretense and misdemeanor financial card fraud. She was released on $1,500 bond.

According to Kinlaw, officers were sent to the Food Lion grocery store April 29 about a report of several stolen checks being passed. Investigators were told that Johnson had passed several stolen checks at the grocery store during the previous week and at other locations outside of Elizabethtown, Kinlaw said. Johnson also was suspected of using a stolen ATM card for cash withdrawals on two occasions, Kinlaw said.
