The Emereau: Bladen kindergarten classes of Joanne Melvin and Peyton Shultz joined Tom and Kay Martin at the Elizabethtown Airport on Thursday morning for a hands-on aviation class. They were taught by Tom Martin, a retired Army Master Aviator with 48 years experience.
Each student got to try the cockpit out for themselves. They had a short aerodynamics class and all passed the test with flying colors and all received a honorary pilot’s license and a glider for their awesome attention. Tom Martin did take the teachers, Ms Melvin and Ms Shultz, for a short flight around the airport.
Emereau’s mascot is of course the Emereau AVIATORS so now for sure each of these kids know about their mascot.
