Olivia Herring, a teacher at Emereau School in Elizabethtown, was awarded the North Carolina Farm Bureau 2019 Ag In The Classroom “Going Local” Grant by Bladen County Farm Bureau Vice-President Chris Barnhill recently.

The grant is awarded yearly to a deserving K-8th grade teacher to honor them for their desire to integrate agriculture into the classroom. Grant applications are made available at the beginning of each school year.
