This weekend there will be plenty for Bladen County residents to see and do as they prepare to celebrate the Memorial Day weekend.
On Saturday, there will be a Grilled Chicken Plate fundraiser at the Camp Clearwater Arcade in White Lake. Each plate of food will cost $7 and will begin at 11 a.m. The fundraiser is for Ron Black, who was diagnosed with prostate cancer last year and diagnosed again with colon cancer in February. He cannot afford to pay some of his medical bills because he doesn’t have insurance.
On Sunday, at 6 p.m. the Elizabethtown Church of God will be showing Rev. David West’s chalk artworks.
