The Balsam Range will be making an appearance this Saturday, February 10, at the Carolina Civic Center Historic Theater at 7 p.m. and the show will end at 9 p.m. Tickets will be $25 for each individual and $22 for seniors 65 and over or military. SRMC PrivelagesPlus members will pay $20 for a ticket and $10 for students that wish to attend. Ten or more tickets bought in advance will be $17. Those that want to attend can purchase a ticket in-person or buy them over the telephone with a credit card or cash. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Civic Center at 910-738-4339 or purchase them at the door. The theater lobby box office will open one hour before the performance to sell tickets.
Also on Saturday, from noon until 2 p.m. the Mother County Genealogical Society will be meeting at the Bladenboro Historical Society Building in Elizabethtown. Sheila Calloway will be there to talk about her own experience and discuss the researching families in the county where a catastrophe happens to destroy records.
