On Saturday, Casino Night is set to take place at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery. The doors will open at 7 p.m. with the games starting at 7:30 p.m. The tickets can be purchased at Cape Fear Vineyard or at the Bladen County Economic Development Office with all proceeds going to the Committee of 100. Tickets can be exchanged for poker chips and at 10:30 p.m. the games will close. All the chips that you earned playing the games will be turned in for raffle tickets for prizes from local merchants.
Also on Saturday, the White Oak Community Civic Club is sponsoring a Spaghetti Dinner from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. fundraiser for Mike Wilson to help with his medical expenses. Each plate will cost $7 and will consist of spaghetti, tossed salad, Italian bread, dessert and a drink. The fundraiser will take place at the White Oak Community Building (the Ruritan Building).
