There are many events happening in and around the Bladen County area this weekend. If your schedule is not full plan to attend a local event.

The 25th Annual Dublin Peanut Festival will be underway on Saturday. The parade will kick off the event at 10 a.m. Vendors, rides, peanuts of all varieties and more will be offered at Dublin Elementary School following the parade.

Dublin Motor Speedway will host the return of the Modlite division along with racing in all weekly divisions which will include Late Model, Open Wheel Modified, Super Street, Pure Stock, and U-Cars. Pits open at 4:00 pm with grandstands opening at 5:00 pm. Practice is set for 6:30 pm with racing to follow. 

This will be the second year for a Christian Women’s Conference held at The Venue at White Lake. The “Already Extraordinary” women’s conference will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning. Pre-registration for the conference is required. The cost is $35 which will also include lunch.

Lastly, the Moores Creek National Battlefield will be taking place near the Patriots Hall picnic area. The event is free to the public, including dogs (must stay on a leash).
