Every Vote Counts Seminar to be Held

The Bladen County Voters Coalition will present “Every Vote Counts” on Monday, Sept. 12, at 6 p.m. at the Paul R. Brown Building located at 1360 Martin Luther King Drive, Elizabethtown. The voter education seminar will be conducted by Dr. Lee Cooley of the North Carolina State Board of Elections in Raleigh.

Topics to be discussed include Voter ID requirements and provisional ballots; proper precinct voting; absentee voting and early voting; registration options and deadlines; voting for persons in care facilities; and college student voting update.

For more information, call 910-874-1049 or 910-872-1870.

Dr. Cooley is a native of Raleigh and works with the NC State Board of Elections as a voter outreach specialist for minorities for the State of North Carolina. In her role as a Voter Outreach Specialist she works to see that no population of citizens in North Carolina “is faced with disenfranchisement that hinders their successful participation at the polls. Successful means casting a ballot that counts.”
