Currie, NC – Step back in time and experience the magic of Christmas past at Moores Creek National Battlefield’s “Christmas Comes to Currie” event! This family-friendly celebration will take place on Saturday, December 7, from 10 AM to 3 PM, and best of all—it’s completely FREE to the public!
Discover how Christmas was celebrated in the 18th century through engaging demonstrations and hands-on activities. Park staff, volunteers, and living historians will bring colonial traditions to life with festive programs that include Christmas cooking, 18th-century toys and games, candle making, and colonial music. Learn about the origins of some of your favorite holiday customs while enjoying the charm of this historic setting.
Santa Claus is Coming to Currie!
For the young (and young at heart), Santa will be making a special appearance at Patriot’s Hall from 1 PM to 3 PM. Bring your wish lists and cameras for this memorable holiday photo opportunity.
A Grinch-y Finale
Wrap up the day with a cozy screening of the 2018 version of The Grinch inside Patriot’s Hall from 3 PM to 5 PM. This heartwarming film is the perfect way to close out a day filled with holiday cheer.
