A free Faith Based Leaders Brunch is planned for Saturday morning at the Bladen Community College Auditorium hosted by a subcommittee of the Bladen County Opioid Task Force. Registration and brunch begins at 8:30 a.m. and the program will begin at 9 a.m.

The guest speakers will include William Sellers with Eastpointe MCO, who will present an Opioid 101, Richard Allen with the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, Friar Bill Eberle with the Brunswick County Opioid Task Force will discuss the recent Opioid Sunday held in Brunswick County, and there will be a brief time for each speaker to take questions and answers.

There will be plenty of information regarding the opioid crisis and how our faith based leaders can assist those who are suffering in their congregations. There will be information regarding resources in Bladen County, family members giving testimonies and information about addiction.

The group will also be discussing how churches can conduct an Opioid Sunday to help begin a dialogue and the process of healing for your congregation.
