East Bladen grad Farrell Murchison has been named the Offensive Player of the Year for the 2015 Louisburg football team.
Murchison rushed for 691 yards and 7 touchdowns as the Hurricanes rolled to a 7-1 record. The Elizabethtown freshman rushed for over 100 yards in each of Louisburg’s last four games of the season with a season-high 192 yards against Nassau Community College of Long Island, NY.
Farrell also made 3 tackles when he played defense for the Hurricanes. Farrell is pictured with the plaque that he received from Louisburg for the Offensive Player of the Year award.
Larrell Murchison, Farrell’s twin brother, played on the defensive line at Louisburg and was credited with 18 tackles for the season. Larrell had 6 tackles-for-loss for a total of 20 yards in losses. Larrell also finished the season with 1.5 sacks for minus 6 yards.
