East Bladen grad Farrell Murchison ran for 3 touchdowns Sunday to lead Louisburg to a 57-17 football victory over the Methodist jayvees.

Farrell’s brother Larrell Murchison has been a stand-out this season on the defensive line for a Louisburg defensive unit that is the top-rated NJCAA defense in the country.

Farrell Murchison scored on touchdown runs of 2, 40 and 1 yards and finished with 114 yards rushing on 14 carries.

Larrell Murchison tackles a Methodist runner for a 3-yard loss in the first period and finished with 2 tackles in the game.

The Hurricanes who are ranked tenth in the latest NJCAA poll remained unbeaten at 6-0 and will travel to Danville, VA next Sunday at 2 p.m. to play the Averett junior varsity.
