A fire damaged an apartment building located at 700 Mercer Mill Road overnight Sunday. The occupants of building No. 5 at Mercer Road Apartments were not injured and firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control.
According to Chad Sholar with the Elizabethtown Fire Department, when fire crews arrived on the scene heavy smoke and fire was showing from the building.
“The fire was knocked down quickly,” said Sholar. “Everyone got out without injuries.”
The fire remains under investigation.
