Director of Security, Buildings, and Grounds, Eddie McAvoy, stated, “We were upstairs in another building and one of the guys came knocking and said he saw smoke, and well you see the rest.”

According to Executive Director Kincy Barrow, there were two groups of people away doing projects and others were in various locations, none of which were where the fire occurred. Barrow stated, “Everyone is safe and accounted for. Nobody was injured or involved in the fire.”

One building was completely engulfed in flames and did not survive the fire. The other two buildings involved were not damaged as extensively. The affected buildings were used for maintenance and equipment.
