An early morning fire on Twisted Hickory Road has claimed one life. According to Bladen County Assistant Coroner Kenneth Clark, the victim died as a result of smoke inhalation.
The investigation into the cause of the fire is still ongoing at this time, according to Clark.
Responding to the call were Bladenboro Fire Department, Dublin Fire Department, Elizabethtown Fire Department, Clarkton Fire Department, Lisbon Fire Department, Bladen County EMS, Bladenboro Rescue, the Bladen County Sheriff’s Office, and the Bladen County Fire Marshal’s Office.
