A day late, but worth the wait. That may be the best description for the fireworks show Friday night at Goldston’s Beach at White Lake.

Thunderstorms on Thursday postponed the Fourth of July show as hundreds of people had gathered to celebrate the nation’s independence.

The weather was ideal Friday night and skies above White Lake lit up with fireworks about 9 p.m. The event was sponsored by the Elizabethtown-White Lake Area Chamber of Commerce.

Before the show, people enjoyed the arcade, amusement rides, go-cart races, miniature golf, gift shops, a water park and lots of fun and games.
