Hazadous Weather
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Bladen County beginning at midnight Sunday and continuing through Tuesday morning.

An area of low pressure is expected to move out of the Gulf of Mexico on Monday and redevelop along the North Carolina coastline, says the National Weather Service. That is expected to lead to a gradual increase in rainfall intensity late Sunday night with the heaviest rain expected Monday and Monday night, with light rain continuing into Tuesday. Rainfall amounts are expected to vary from an inch to 1 1/2 inches along the I-95 corridor to 2 to 3 inches along the coast.

Travel may become difficult at times, especially at night, because of water on roadways. The rain also will worsen the ongoing flooding problems along the Cape Fear River.

A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
