Tyshii and Marcus Scarborough combined to rush for 284 yards and 4 touchdowns and led Harrells Christian Academy to a 40-24 victory Friday night at North Raleigh Christian Academy.
Tyshii Scarborough, a junior, rushed 12 times for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, while senior Marcus Scarborough carried 21 times for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Senior Marcellos Allison ran 7 times for 94 yards and a Harrells touchdown, and senior Kevin Carney rushed 9 times for 45 yards and scored the other Crusader touchdown. Freshman Stancil Bowles converted 4 extra point kicks for the winners.
The Crusaders jumped in front 21-0 in the first quarter and led 27-16 at halftime. North Raleigh closed to within 33-24 in the third period, but Harrells tacked on another touchdown in the final quarter.
Harrells Christian improves to 2-0 in the NCISAA Big East Conference and 4-4 overall. The Crusaders travel back to Raleigh Friday for a 7:30 non-conference game against Word of God Christian Academy.
