ROCKY POINT– Tony Holmes scored the go-ahead touchdown on a short run as Heide Trask squeaked out a 13-7 Four County Conference football victory over West Bladen Thursday night.
Both teams scored touchdowns in the first half and the score was still tied 7-7 until the Holmes’ TD.
Junior B. J. Drake took a direct snap and darted 2 yards off the right side to score standing up for the West Bladen touchdown. Drake dashed 13 yards around left end to pick up a key first down on the scoring drive. Junior Scott Bowen kicked the extra point.
The Knights, now 2-5 overall, will travel to Pender next Friday.
