BLADENBORO – Red Springs defeated West Bladen 35-12 Friday night in the Three Rivers Conference football season finale for both teams.
The teams were tied 6-6 after the first quarter, and Red Springs led 14-6 at halftime.
Junior quarterback Tyre Boykin raced 64 yards for one Knight touchdown and tossed a 23-yard pass to sophmore Shyron Adams for the other touchdown.
Boykin carried 14 times for 97 yards and completed 7 of 16 passes for 64 yards to lead the West Bladen offense.
Adams caught 4 passes for 29 yards. Senior Kerron Washington hauled in two passes for 30 yards, and junior Tra’ shawn Ballard had one reception for 5 yards. Ballard also rushed 9 times for 28 yards.
Defensively for the Knights, Washington intercepted two Red Springs passes and Adams also had an interception.
