ELIZABETHTOWN- Sophomore KeMarion Baldwin rushed for 125 yards and 4 touchdowns to lead St. Pauls to a 36-22 Three Rivers Conference football victory over East Bladen Friday night.

The Eagles had battled back from a 22-8 halftime deficit to tie the score 22-22 on Rasean McKoy’s 1-yard touchdown run with 6:47 left in the game, but Baldwin dashed 4 yards for the go-ahead touchdown and a 28-22 lead with 4:24 remaining.

Senior Demonte Williams, who finished with 98 rushing yards on 12 carries, plowed 2 yards for the final Bulldog touchdown with 1:51 on the clock. Quarterback Mikail Breeden ran the 2-point conversion for the final 36-22 margin.

McKoy was the workhorse for the Eagle offense piling up 176 yards on 30 attempts and running for a touchdown and a pair of 2-point conversions. Junior Javius Brooks ran for 43 yards and a touchdown on 15 attempts. Senior Zach Meares threw for 109 yards and hurled a 35-yard touchdown pass to junior Nazire Smith. Ahmad Powell caught a 40-yard pass from Meares.

Baldwin capped the initial St. Pauls drive with a 3-yard touchdown run then ran the conversion for an 8-0 lead. The Eagles answered with Brooks’ 2-yard touchdown run, and McKoy banged into the end zone with the tying conversion run.

The Eagles marched deep into Bulldog territory but a fumble ended the threat, and Baldwin broke loose with a 94-yard touchdown gallop that produced a 14-8 lead. Baldwin ran 3 yards for a 2nd quarter TD, and Williams tacked on the conversion run for a 22-8 lead.

East Bladen rallied as Meares connected with Nazire Smith on the 35-yard touchdown pass. McKoy trimmed the Bulldog lead to 22-16 with his conversion run.

Ten Eagle seniors were honored along with their parents in ceremonies before the game. The seniors were: Jake Garrison, Zach Meares, Rasean McKoy, Donevin Keith, Zylique Lewis, Josh Hayes, Collin McKoy, Nick Norris, Brady Hollingsworth and Javant McDowell.

East Bladen, now 2-1 on the season, will host league-leading Red Springs Friday night.
