WHITEVILLE – Junior quarterback Ty Moss and junior running back Jvonte Davis combined for 6 touchdowns to lead Whiteville to a 48-0 Three Rivers Conference football victory over West Bladen Friday night.

Moss scored on runs of 1 and 6 yards then hurled a 55-yard touchdown pass to senior Elijah Henderson. Davis broke free for touchdown runs of 2, 22 and 38 yards.

Sophmore K. J. Hall ran 13 yards for the other Wolfpack touchdown. Senior Ethan Bass booted six extra points. His seventh attempt was blocked.

Whiteville led 21-0 at the first quarter break and 35-0 at halftime.

The Knights best scoring chance came late in the first half when punter Brandon Strange raced 71 yards to the Whiteville 4 yardline, but one play later the half ended.

Junior quarterback Tyre Boykin carried the ball 17 times for 80 yards to lead the Knight offense, and completed 3 of 11 passes for 20 yards. Strange totaled 75 yards on two runs, and Nelson Drake caught one pass for 12 yards.

West Bladen, now 1-2 in league play, will travel to West Columbus Friday.
