Four Way Stop gets lights
By Erin Smith
Flashing signal lights were installed Tuesday afternoon at the four-way stop located at the intersection of NC 410 and NC 41. The flashing lights are used to warn drivers of the approaching traffic coming to the intersection.
The four-way stop was installed to slow drivers down until a roundabout could be designed and installed at the intersection. The intersection has been the scene of numerous traffic crashes resulting in serious injuries.
The four-way stop has been the cause of concern among Bladen County residents since its installation in August. Many residents have complained the intersection is confusing to teenage drivers.
The flashing signal lights should help to warn motorists of the traffic pattern change.Share:
