A fire was reported early on Thursday in the vicinity of Bladen Community College. The fire was reported at about 6 a.m.

Ethan King with the Dublin Fire Department said, “When we arrived the whole thing was completely engulfed.”

He noted that the roof caved in during the fire and was covering the floor.

King said that the exact cause of the fire remains under investigation as of Thursday afternoon. He said power was connected to the house but he stated that fire officials are uncertain if anyone was staying at the residence.

King said the investigation has been turned over to the Bladen County Fire Marshal’s Office.

He said there have been three other fires that have occurred in the Dublin area over the past three months that also remain under investigation.

King asked if anyone saw anything suspicious or unusual to contact the Bladen County Fire Marshal’s Office at 910-862-6755.
