The National Weather Service office in Wilmington has issued a Freeze Watch for our area which is in effect from late Saturday night through Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to drop to below 32 degrees between the hours of 3 a.m. and 9 a.m. Sunday morning.
Impacts can include damage to sensitive vegetation. Freezing temperatures may kill early foliage and seedlings.
A freeze watch means sub-freezing temperatures are possible. These conditions could kill crops. Also, make provisions for pets and protect vulnerable outdoor water pipes.
