A freezing rain advisory has been issued for Bladen County beginning at midnight and expiring at 1 p.m. Monday.
“Currently we do not anticipate significant icing but anywhere from a trace to a few hundredths of an inch remain possible starting as early as midnight tonight,” said Terrence Lebo with National Weather Service Office in Wilmington.
Ice accumulations on bridges and overpasses could make driving dangerous.
A freezing rain advisory means that periods of freezing rain or freezing drizzle could move through the area making travel difficult. Motorists should be aware of slippery road conditions and slow down and use caution.
