Ice accumulations predictedA freezing rain advisory remains in effect for Bladen County.  As of Thursday afternoon, Bladen County is forecast to receive up to one-tenth of an inch of ice overnight Thursday into Friday morning. A freezing rain advisory remains in effect for the county until 11 a.m. Friday morning.

Bladen County Emergency Management officials are monitoring the storm.

Steven Pfaff with the National Weather Service in Wilmington said on Thursday morning that there is the potential for freezing rain and possibly some sleet to push into the area making travel hazardous.

The freezing rain is forecast to change over to all rain later in the day on Friday and there is also the potential for Bladen to see some snow on Saturday. The forecast shows a 50 percent chance of snow on Saturday with a 20 percent chance of snow showers on Saturday evening.
