1 First Elizabethtown Summer Concert
It seems everyone has been enjoying Sunset Slush Italian ice this summer thanks to Sunset Slush of Bladen owners, Allison Kirby and Jennifer Marlowe and their staff members. The tag team, who are also teachers in Bladen County, hired some young folks to help scoop out the delicious treat this summer starting at Camp Clear Water and now have expanded their territory.

People wanting to enjoy the soft, creamy, cool goodness can get their treat at Camp Clear Water at White Lake, or at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market in Elizabethtown. The two owners announced they will be closing their stand at the lake after Labor Day, but they will have a cart at the Farmer’s Market weekdays 11 am until 6 pm and on Saturdays 10 am until 3 pm. The lake cart will be open Fridays 12 noon until 10 pm, Saturdays 10 am until 10pm and Sundays 12 noon until 6 pm beginning August 16th.

Sunset Slush of Bladen will be at the Farmer’s Market until the cold weather sets in according to Marlowe. She said, “We will be there everyday, rain or shine. If the weather is bad, we will be inside the Market, otherwise, we will be outside.”

The team will be offering their product at several local upcoming events:
Summer Concert Series at the Cape Fear Farmer’s Market on August 27th
Dublin Peanut Festival on Sept. 19th
Seafood and Sunset BCC Foundation Fundraiser on Oct. 1 as an In-Kind sponsor
October Fest at Camp Clearwater on Oct. 24th
Beast Fest in Bladenboro on Oct. 31st
Columbus County Fair in Whiteville Oct. 13th through 18th
Holly Day Fair in Fayetteville Nov. 5th through 8th
