East Bladen High SchoolJunior Lacey Suggs poured in 32 points Friday night to lead undefeated East Bladen to a 62-33 Four County Conference girls’ basketball victory at Midway.

Suggs drained one 3-point shot, dished out 5 assists and was credited with 7 steals. Junior guard Abby Ward bombed in a pair of 3-point shots and finished with 10 points for the winners. Ward led the team with 6 assists.

Senior center Imani-Turner Dobson dropped in 10 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and blocked 8 shots for East Bladen. Junior Miller Heustess added 6 points for the winners.

The Lady Eagles rolled up a 19-4 first period lead and stretched the margin to 38-18 at halftime. An 18-9 third quarter surge padded the East lead to 56-27.

Guard Amber Poole buried a couple of 3-point shots and topped the Lady Raider scoring with 11 points.

Coach Patty Evers’ Lady Eagles, the top-ranked Class 2-A team in the state according to NC Preps.com, improved to 8-0 in the Four County and 18-0 overall. East Bladen will host Clinton Tuesday night.
