BLADENBORO- A 21-4 2nd quarter spurt propelled Midway to a 56-25 Southeastern Athletic Conference girls basketball victory over West Bladen on Senior Night Friday.

Rylie Williams sank 4 free throws and a basket to spark the Lady Raiders to an early 8-3 lead. Sophomore Megan Pait nailed a 3-point shot for the Lady Knight points.

MaKenzie Williams, Rylie Williams and Kris’shyia McKoy threw in 3-point baskets, and Morgan Hall tacked on a basket and 2 free throws as the Midway lead grew to 29-7 at halftime.

Sophomore Mallory Bryan tossed in a basket and 2 free throws for West in the 2nd period, then fired in 2 baskets and a free throw in the 3rd quarter. Junior Makayla Wright drove for a pair of baskets in the 3rd period, and senior Hannah Pait powered in a West basket before the quarter break.

Bryan rang up 3 free throws and a pair of baskets in the final period and led the Lady Knights with a game-high 16 points. Wright finished with 4 points.

McKoy topped the Lady Raider scoring with 14 points, and Rylie Williams followed with 13 points.

Seniors Hannah Pait, Olivia McCarty and Anasia Baxley were honored in Senior Night activities. The Lady Knights, now 9-10 on the season, will travel to Clinton Tuesday night.
