ST. PAULS – Junior Jakieya Thompson and sophomore Jashontae Harris combined for 28 points Tuesday night to lead St. Pauls to a 57-22 Southeastern Athletic Conference girls basketball victory over West Bladen.

Thompson tallied 9 of her 15 points in the opening quarter as the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to an 18-5 lead. Harris who finished with 13 points connected on a pair of 3-balls in the period.

Junior Lainey Autry tossed in a basket for the Lady Knights, and sophomore Mallory Bryan drilled in a 3-point shot in the 1st quarter. Bryan threw in 3 baskets in the 2nd period, but St. Pauls stretched their halftime lead to 29-11.

Bryan bombed in another 3-ball in the 3rd quarter for West, and junior Kirsten Warrick pumped in a basket, but 2 baskets each from Thompson and Aniyah Easterling pushed the lead to 40-16.

Warrick and junior Azillyah McDonald popped in Lady Knight baskets in the final quarter, and Bryan sank 2 free throws. Au.Nyah Teague scored 7 of her 10 points for St. Pauls in the 4th period.

Bryan topped the West Bladen scoring list with 14 points, and Warrick finished with 4 points.

The Lady Knights, now 9-9, will host Midway Friday night in their final home game of the season.
