WHITEVILLE – Whiteville defeated West Bladen 44-22 Friday night in Three Rivers Conference girls basketball action.

Senior Nsaia Rogers and junior Marquasia Smith bombed in two 3-point shots each to lead the Lady Wolfpack to a 14-4 first quarter lead. Senior Chasitty Lacey and junior Scjada Ellison dropped in first quarter baskets for West Bladen.

Lacey drained a 3-point shot and another basket in the second quarter, and freshman Nyasia Ellison pumped in a basket to keep the Lady Knights within 24-11.

Alex Bellamy and Breanna McCellon tossed in 5 points each in the second quarter for the Lady Wolfpack.

Senior Patience Parker threw in a basket and a free throw for West Bladen in the third quarter, and Scjada Ellison added a basket.

Lacey, Nyasia Ellison and sophmore Jessica Labra popped in a basket each for the Lady Knights in the final quarter.

Lacey topped the West Bladen scoring with 9 points. Scjada Ellison and Nyasia Ellison scored 4 points each for the Lady Knights.

Smith led the Whiteville scoring with 13 points, and Rogers followed with 10 points.

The Lady Knights will travel to West Columbus Tuesday night.
