ELIZABETHTOWN – Freshman Maya McDonald scored both goals Thursday night to lead East Bladen to a 2-0 non-conference girls soccer victory over Scotland.

Junior Sydney Wober and senior Ashley Hardin were credited with assists for the Lady Eagles who scored a goal in each half.

“Our legs looked really heavy and it wasn’t the prettiest game we have played,” said East Bladen Coach Jay Raynor. “The girls got the job done and we were able to give everyone a good amount of time on the field.”

Senior Ting Lin recorded the shutout in goal for the Lady Eagles and had one save in the game.

“It was a big week for the girls,” continued Raynor. “Anytime you can get 3 wins in the span of 4 days it’s a good week.”

East Bladen, now 9-0 on the season, will host West Bladen Monday at 6 p.m.
