East Bladen High SchoolROCKY POINT – East Bladen tallied a pair of early goals en route to a 3-0 Four County Conference girls soccer victory Thursday night over Heide Trask.

In the game’s 4th minute, junior Maddie West turned a feed from junior Cassie Hill into the first East Bladen goal.

Ten minutes later sophmore Hannah Devane fired in another Lady Eagle goal that stretched the lead to 2-0.

In the first minute of the second half, senior Lacey Suggs knocked in her first goal of the game to extend the East Bladen lead to 3-0.

“We were in complete control,” said East Bladen Coach Jay Raynor. “We outshot them 10-1, and their one shot wasnt that good of a look. We took our time working on possessing the ball in the second half.”

Senior Kathryn Cole recorded the shutout in goal for the Lady Eagles.

East Bladen improved to 3-1 in the Four County and are tied for second place in the league. The Lady Eagles are 9-1 overall and will return to action after the Easter Break at Union on April 5th.
