TABOR CITY – Junior Maya McDonald and senior Katie Evans led unbeaten East Bladen to a 3-0 Three Rivers Conference victory over South Columbus Tuesday.
McDonald knocked in the Lady Eagles initial goal off of a feed from Evans in the 21st minute. Four minutes later Evans blasted in a free kick from 35 yards out for a 2-0 East lead.
East Bladen led 2-0 at halftime, and McDonald delivered her 2nd goal of the game in the 53rd minute for the final 3-0 margin.
The Lady Eagles outshot South Columbus 10-2 in the 1st half and 21-2 for the game. Senior Lily Lin recorded the shutout in goal and had one save for East Bladen.
Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles improved to 2-0 in league play and 8-0 overall. East Bladen will celebrate Senior Night Wednesday against East Columbus beginning at 5:30.
