ST PAULS – Junior Ashley Hardin fired in 2 goals and dished out 2 assists to lead unbeaten East Bladen to a 4-0 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer victory over St. Pauls Thursday night.

Freshmen Katie Evans and Kenia Medina scored one goal each for the Lady Eagles who built a 3-0 halftime lead. Senior Hannah Devane and sophmore Patience Ward contributed one assist each for the winners.

“We outshot them 30-1,” said East Bladen Coach Jay Raynor. “Ting (Lin) was credited with the shutout (in goal) but had to make no saves in the game.”

Hardin also paced the Lady Eagle defensive effort with 15 steals. Evans racked up 14 saves, and Ward totaled 13 steals. Medina and freshman Sara Gargala contributed 12 steals each.

Junior Sarah Johnson and sophmores Cybil Campbell and Izzy Smith finished with 10 steals each. Sophmore Gracyn Martin was credited with 9 steals, and Devane had 8 steals.

The Lady Eagles improved to 8-0 in league play and 10-0 overall. East Bladen will travel to South Columbus Tuesday for a 5 p.m. match.
