ELIZABETHTOWN – Freshman Kenia Medina fired in 2 goals to lead East Bladen to a 5-0 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer victory over West Columbus Thursday night.

Senior Hannah Devane dished out 2 assists and scored a goal for the Lady Eagles built a 4-0 halftime lead. Freshman Sara Garagala and junior Ting Lin knocked in one goal each for the winners.

Junior Ashley Hardin and sophmore Patience Ward were credited with two assists each for East Bladen. Freshman Katie Evans also contributed an assist.

Hardin sparked the Lady Eagle defense with 16 steals, and Evans followed with 13 steals. Sophmore Gracyn Martin racked up 12 steals, and Gargala finished with 11 steals.

Junior Ashton Magby collected 9 steals for the Lady Eagles, and Devane and sophmore Izzy Smith totaled 8 steals each. Lin recorded the shutout in goal for the East Bladen.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles remained unbeaten in league play with a 3-0 record and improved to 4-0 overall. East Bladen will travel to East Columbus Friday for a 5 p.m. make-up game.
