Senior Lacey Suggs racked up another ‘hat trick’ of 3 goals and also dished out 4 assists to lead East Bladen to an 8-0 non-conference girls soccer victory at East Columbus Thursday.

Junior Justyna Gargala and sophmore Hannah Devane tallied one goal and one assist each, and junior Maddie West, junior Alexa Hernandez and freshman Ashley Hardin scored one goal each. Freshman Sarah Johnson was also credited with an assist.

In the seventh minute, West turned an assist from Suggs into the first East Bladen goal. Seven minutes later Suggs converted an assist from Devane into a goal and a 2-0 lead.

Gargala delivered a goal in the 20th minute capitalizing on another assist from Suggs. Six minutes later Hernandez scored the fourth East Bladen goal off of another Suggs pass.

Suggs fired in another goal in the 31st minute to push the halftime lead to 5-0.

Devane opened the second half scoring for East Bladen with her first goal of the night as the lead grew to 6-0.

Ten minutes later Gargala sent a pass to Suggs that produced another goal and a 7-0 Lady Eagle lead. Twelve minutes later freshman Ashley Hardin closed out the East Bladen scoring with a goal off of another Suggs assist.

The Lady Eagles improve to 6-0 and will open conference play Tuesday at Midway.
