LAKE WACCAMAW – Senior Hannah Devane posted a ‘Hat Trick’ of 3 goals to lead East Bladen to a 9-0 Three Rivers Conference girls soccer victory over East Columbus Friday night.

Devane was also credited with 2 assists for the Lady Eagles who built a 6-0 halftime lead. Junior Ashley Hardin dished out 4 assists and fired in 2 goals for the winners. Freshman teammate Katie Evans also lit up the scoreboard with 2 goals.

Sophmore Patience Ward racked up one goal and one assist for East Bladen, and junior Ashton Magby knocked in the other Lady Eagle goal. Sophmore Gracyn Martin contributed an assist for the winners.

Freshman Sara Gargala sparked the East Bladen defense with 18 steals, and Hardin totaled 15 steals. Evans and freshman Kenia Medina finished with 12 steals each.

Martin collected 10 steals for East Bladen. Ward and Devane added 9 steals each, and sophmores Cybil Campbell and Izzy Smith followed with 8 steals each.

Junior Ting Lin recorded the shutout in goal for East Bladen.

Coach Jay Raynor’s Lady Eagles raised their unbeaten record to 4-0 in league play and 5-0 overall. East Bladen will host unbeaten Whiteville Monday in a showdown for first place in the TRC.
